Cape Cobra Hire is now in its 6th successful season. It was started by Dean Gillatt with his love for classic car who moved to Cape Town in 1990 having spent several years working in motor racing with Eddie Jordan and the Jordan Racing Team.

He realised that while Cape Town already offered many exciting pastimes, it lacked on thing - the Adrenalin rush of driving a Classic high powered motor car along the winding and scenic roads of the Peninsula at an affordable price.
And so Cape Cobra Hire was born with its first gleaming Cobra ready to hire. Several cars later we are continually looking to add to the fleet, but it is imperative that any Cobras we aquire have been made to the same high specification and finish that we always demand. You can be assured that any Cobra you hire will be presented to you as though it was your own newly aquired prize possession...

In fact several hirers have fallen in love with the cars so much that they have either bought one directly from us or asked us to source a Cobra privately for them to buy.
During the last 18 months Cape Cobra Hire has realised that there is a growing market for customers who wish to hire a modern convertible car at an affordable price. Many cobra hirers, having experienced the obvious joys of driving a Cobra and having been satisfied with the service they have already received , have asked us if we can provide them with a more "practical" car for them to explore the longer journeys, such as the Garden route or the Winelands.

Having researched the marketplace Cape Cobra Hire has found that the only "top of the range" convertibles available are the very latest models being offered by the larger companies, at a very high price. As an alternative we are now able to offer slightly older cars than the current models (i.e. BMW 330 i convertibles). All the cars are in excellent condition and regularly serviced.
